Craft Supplies For Our Puffy Paint Cupcake Idea:
* White Shaving Cream
* White School Glue
* Food Coloring {I used a small mixture of blue & red}
* Loose Craft Glitter
* Paint Brush
* Small Bowl
* Blank Cupcake Printable {download HERE}
* White Cardstock
* Color Printer
The Simple Directions:
* First download and print the cupcake template printable {or draw your own design on some cardstock} You only need ONE printable per craft.
* In a small bowl, mix equal parts of shaving cream with white school glue. This will create a sticky frosting consistency.
* Next, add your food coloring to get the desired “cupcake frosting” color. I added a few drops of red & blue to get a pink/purple color. Please keep in mind, that once the frosting dries, it will be a darker shade.
* Once you have the consistency/color you like – have your child use a paint brush to fill in the cupcake part with the “frosting.”
* To finish your puffy paint cupcake craft, sprinkle some glitter on top of the glue mixture and set aside to let it dry completely.
* Once completely dry, add other embellishments like a button for a cherry on top or a long rectangle paper piece for a birthday candle.
* Then display proudly!
Don’t you just LOVE this puffy paint cupcake craft? Don’t feel obligated to ONLY do it during Valentine’s Day. I highly encourage you to bookmark this post and do it ANY day of the year. Hint hint!

I would give it over an hour to dry. Just have plastic grocery bags near by, so if it isn’t dry completely, kids can stick it in there and still be able to carry it home. Hope the kids enjoy making it!

So cute! Thinking of using this idea for a little Valentine’s day party for my 8 year old. Any idea how long these would take to dry (in order to be taken home at the end of the party)? Thanks.
