Hi my crafty readers! It’s time for another book-themed kid craft tutorial on Glued To My Crafts and today’s paper plate sleeping bear idea one goes along perfectly with the classic book from New York Times bestselling team of Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman!
I call this crafty tutorial our Paper Plate Sleeping Bear Kid Craft and it’s themed around the charming book Bear Snores On.
In the bear themed children’s book, several different animals find their way out of the bitter cold and into Bear’s cave to warm up. After trying several different ways to wake him, Bear just snores on. You’ll have to read the book to see what happens when he finally does wake up and sees his cave full of uninvited guests—all of them having a party without him!
Now back to the craft and the real reason for this blog post. As you probably have learned to expect from me – this kid friendly activity is super easy, inexpensive and fun for all ages. Plus the finished piece is super adorable, so that in itself is worth a reason to make.
So enough chit chat from me! Let’s grab our supplies, find the full tutorial below for the paper plate brown bear and get to work! No snoring on the job please!

I did this project with my 2-3 year olds in preschool today. Very cute! Thank you for the idea. I love the book so it was nice to pair it with a craft. (We also made black bears … not sure if that is legit or not!)
