Gobble Gobble! Who is ready for Thanksgiving?! I know I am!
I’m jump starting the Thanksgiving crafts on the blog with a HUGE turkey kid craft roundup that is sure to get that crafty spark going! After all – while the grand Thanksgiving dinner is cooking, you know there will be little ones running throughout the house and you will need something to keep them busy {and now is the perfect time to plan those activities!}
The turkey themed crafts listed below are just a few I have done with my Lil Man recently {more to come in the coming days but why wait the entire month to see them all?}
So keep scrolling below to gobble up these great ideas and get to work on crafting up some creative memories this Thanksgiving season!
Happy crafting my friends!!! #gluedtomycrafts
Not only are these Clothespin Turkeys super adorable BUT they also make for great keepsakes. Just trace/cut your child’s handprints out of cardstock, glue on some craft feathers and attached to a clothespin for easy displaying!
Probably one of the EASIEST crafts ever – Leaf Turkeys. All we did was decorate some foam leaf cutouts with decorative plastic leaves & then attached some wooden scoops to the front to look like turkeys. It’s leaf-tastic!
For this super simple Clothespin Turkey Kid Craft, first decorate a paper plate to look like a turkey. Then decorate some clothespins with washi tape and pinch them around the edge of the finished paper plate to look like feathers.
Easily turn this craft into a learning/counting activity by having children only do a certain amount of clothespins {use their age, the date, roll a dice etc}
Inspired by the Popcorn Box Challenge I recently participated in – this Popcorn Box Turkey is just as easy! Just decorate the outside box with cardstock and stuff with tissue paper for feathers {or your favorite holiday treats!}
Isn’t this Terra Cotta Pot Turkey super cute? And who would have thought it’s made from Dollar Tree supplies? {hello cheap!} Just glue decorative plastic leaves to one side of the pot and then add turkey features to the front! Super easy and can double as simple decorations too!!!
These Mason Jar Lid Turkeys are a great way to recycle AND they are fun for kids & adults! All we did was decorate some popsicle sticks with washi tape for the feathers and add some cardstock facial turkey pieces inside the mason jar lid.
Perfect to keep the kids busy AND make a special creation for the front door – Paper Plate Turkey Wreath. Just cut the center out of a large paper plate, decorate the rim with tissue paper and finish off with some cardstock turkey pieces to the front!
A classic craft for this time of year – Paper Plate & Feather Turkeys. Just cut a paper plate in half, cover both halves with craft feathers and finish off with a cardstock turkey to the fronts.
This Handprint Bean Turkey is PERFECT for a craft on the Thanksgiving table before dinner is served {especially if you have a handful of dried beans to spare!} Just trace/cut your child’s handprint out of cardstock, glue to a paper plate and have children decorate the fingers {feathers} with dried beans for a fun festive look!
I just love cupcake liner crafts and this one is extra perfect for Thanksgiving! To make these Cupcake Liner Turkeys – simply flatten/fold some cupcake liners in half with glue and attach to some popsicle stick scoops. Then add some turkey facial features and display proudly!

As an added bonus – here are TWO simple & fun food ideas for the picky eaters kids in the family but you still want to get them in the “turkey” spirit!
Using a waffle as your base, you can easily turn it into a turkey with whipped cream, fruit and a candy corn nose!
Skip the traditional turkey sandwich and jazz up a PB sandwich to look like a turkey instead!
