Thanksgiving Cheese & Cracker Classroom Snack Idea

Cheese and crackers. The PERFECT snack combination – am I right?! Especially when it comes to little kids!

On that note, today’s Cheese Cracker Turkey Themed Classroom Snack Idea is super simple to pull together on the fly AND it’s budget friendly too {as well as allergy friendly and non-candy too!}

It’s perfect for a simple classroom snack, Thanksgiving parties or “just because” to celebrate this time of year! Plus with your child’s involvement in the making, it’s sure to be a great crafty afternoon too!

Cheese & Cracker Turkey Classroom Snack Idea

Today’s Cheese Cracker Turkey Themed Classroom Snack Idea is super simple to pull together on the fly AND it’s budget friendly too!

Craft Supplies:

  • Pre-Packaged Cheese & Cracker Packages
  • Eyeball Stickers
  • Red Puffy Paint
  • Orange Puffy Paint
  • Black Puffy Paint
  • Pencil
  • Basic Craft Scissors
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Low Temp Hot Glue Gun

Directions:

  • The first step is to decorate EACH cheese and cracker package with your puffy paint & wiggle eye stickers. Simply place the cracker package on a flat surface, with the bottom of it {you should be able to see the cheese & crackers clearly} facing you.
  • Now use the puffy paint to draw on the beak, legs and place the wiggle eye stickers in place.
  • Set each decorated package aside.
  • Now grab your cardstock paper and the pencil.
  • Trace and trim out ONE handprint cutout for each turkey snack pack.
  • Next get your glue gun hot and ready!
  • Finish off the Cheese Cracker Turkey Snacks by hot gluing the paper handprint “feathers” to other the side of the snack.
  • Then let it dry completely before gifting away!!!

Cheese & Cracker Turkey Classroom Snack Craft Idea

Ready, set, snack! Invite your students to get creative with this cheesy and delicious classroom treat. It's the perfect snack for an afternoon of learning!

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:

  • Pre-Packaged Cheese & Cracker Packages
  • Craft Foam red and orange
  • Small Wiggle Eyes
  • Craft Feathers
  • Craft Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun - adult supervision required

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:

  • First cut some beaks, waddles and turkey legs out of your craft foam. One set per snack.
    Craft Foam
  • Set aside.
  • Now get your glue gun hot and ready!
  • Go ahead and hot glue your craft foam pieces, as well as some wiggle eyes to the cheese snacks.
    Small Wiggle Eyes, Pre-Packaged Cheese & Cracker Packages
  • Finish off the Cheese Cracker Turkey Snacks by hot gluing bright colorful craft feathers to other the side of the snack.
    Craft Feathers
  • Then let it dry completely before gifting away!!!
