Craft Supplies:

Before starting, gather the following materials. Don’t worry if you’re missing something; feel free to get creative with substitutions!

  • Large Paper Plate – 1 per craft
  • Yellow Tissue Paper
  • Black Construction Paper
  • Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Stapler

With these basic items, your buzzing masterpiece is just a few steps away.

Directions: 

Now, let’s buzz straight into the steps for making your very own paper plate bee!

  • First cut your yellow tissue paper into squares.
  • Out of your black construction paper – cut out strips, the bee’s head and stinger. Set aside.
  • Put a good layer of glue all over the paper plate.
  • Have your child place the yellow tissue paper squares on the plate, until completely covered.
  • To finish off your Paper Plate Honey Bee craft, staple/glue on the cardstock paper pieces to the paper plate to give it  life!
