Wooden Spoon Bee Puppets – Boredom Buster Kid Craft Idea
Hi there! It’s Stacey from Glued To My Crafts, buzzing on by with another way to turn ordinary wood craft spoons into one-of-a-kind friends! This time with a BEE-tastic craft idea that is perfect as a boredom buster at home!
You can use your newly created Wooden Spoon Bumble Bee friends as home decor, place them in some Dirt Pudding for a “buzzing” good snack idea OR just have a fun afternoon full of puppet play with a whole collection of them in the living room. One for each friend in attendance!

PAIR YOUR WOOD SPOON BEE PUPPETS WITH —> Adorable Wooden Spoon Bunnies – Kid Craft
Spoon Bee Puppet Craft Supplies:
* Large, Wooden Craft Spoons – one per bee puppet {affiliate link}
* Yellow Craft Paint
* Black Craft Paint
* Paint Brushes
* Small Paper Plate
* White Cardstock
* Black Cardstock
* Small Wiggle Eyes – two per bee puppet
* School Glue
* Paper Craft Scissors
optional – other embellishments like ribbon, rhinestones, glitter etc.
Directions:
* First squirt some craft paint on the paper plate.
* Next have children paint the larger spoon potion with some yellow paint.
* Follow that up with a few thin black stripes. This is now the body of the bee.
* Once done painting, set it aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each spoon puppet you want to make today.
* While they are working on that – cut out some antennas, a head and wings from the colored cardstock. Repeat for each bee you are making.
* To finish off the Wooden Spoon Bee – simply glue the cardstock pieces in place and add the wiggle eyes so they can see.
* Then add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter, rhinestones etc}
* To display, you can add magnets to the back or hot glue some string for easy hanging!
