Reindeer, Santa & Snowman Spoon Puppets

Come one, come all – we are going to turn an ordinary wood craft spoon into a one-of-a-kind HOLIDAY friends! Today we are sharing a collection of Santa, his reindeer and snowman friend he might come across on his Christmas Eve adventures!

You can use your newly created Wooden Spoon Christmas Friend for festive kitchen decor OR for some an afternoon fun of puppet play with him! Heck – you could even bring them into story time or a classroom setting for even more holiday fun!

Wooden Spoon Christmas Friends

Kids love to play in the kitchen with wooden spoons, so why not turn your wooden spoon into a festive friend? This is an easy DIY craft project that kids will enjoy. Your child can also use his new friend for puppet play!

Craft Supplies:

  • Wooden Spoons – 1 per craft
  • Paint Pens or Craft Paint
  • Craft Felt
  • White Cotton Balls
  • Small Wiggle Eyes
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • Wooden Spoon Snowman Puppet – paint the wooden spoon completely white. Then add felt snowman embellishments that you hot-glue. on.
  • Wooden Spoon Santa Puppet – first the handle is painted completely red for his suit. Then you can hot glue on cotton balls, wiggle eyes and a felt hat on the larger portion of the spoon.
  • Wooden Spoon Reindeer Puppet – for this one, the spoon is painted completely brown and then you got hot glue felt embellishments with a red nose & wiggle eyes to the larger portion of the spoon.
