So on that note, I’m hoping to spread so much SWEET Christmas craftiness with our latest handprint keepsake tutorial. Today’s “Handprint Cookies For Santa” post, is perfect to make in honor of the holiday season AND have a sweet handmade piece to prop with a plate full of freshly baked cookies, for Santa to enjoy on Christmas Eve! I bet he is going to love that personal touch!

This DIY is simply just sweet and overall perfect. You can’t go wrong with a good handprint Christmas craft this time of year and I sincerely hope you see my vision in today’s cookie themed keepsake post & love it as much as I do right now!

Cookies For Santa Keepsake

Your little ones will love helping you make these adorable handprint cookies for Santa. They’ll be so excited to leave their paper keepsake out on Christmas Eve and see that jolly old elf has stopped by! Make sure to bake up a plate of fresh cookies for Santa to enjoy too. Merry Christmas!

Craft Supplies:

  • Cookies For Santa Printable
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Color Printer
  • Brown Craft Paint
  • Black Craft Paint
  • Large Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes
  • Thin-Tipped Sharpie Marker

Directions:

  • First grab the cookie themed keepsake printable listed above in the supply list.
  • Now print out the provided file on a single sheet of white cardstock.
  • Next grab your brown craft paint, as well as your foam paint brush and paper plate.
  • Squirt the craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Pick one of your child’s hands {left or right – doesn’t matter!}
  • Paint the palm of your child’s hand completely brown and press it down in the center of the printable, between the TWO larger letters.
  • Now carefully lift up your child’s hand from the printable and clean off the excess paint with a baby wipe & a quick trip to the sink.
  • When the handprint you just made on the paper is dry enough, start added a few black “chocolate chip” dots all over the handprint. Only a few though – you don’t want the dots to overpower the craft!
  • Go ahead and starting wrapping up the craft by adding a few other embellishments to give the cookie themed Christmas keepsake piece a personalized look. Maybe some small heart stickers here and there?
  • And don’t forget to have your child fill in the rolling pin area with their name, age and/or date!
  • Then display/gift away proudly your child’s beautiful handprint cookies for Santa keepsake piece!
