Doesn’t even need to be a special holiday or occasion. I feel like “to the moon and back” is such a blanket statement to say to any time of the year!

Today’s handprint moon keepsake craft idea is a simple piece of artwork that can be treasured by the lucky receiver for years to come. What better way to show your love than with a heartfelt keepsake? This adorable handprint “Moon & Back” craft is sure to bring joy and warmth to any home.

Craft Supplies:

  • Moon & Back Printable
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Craft Paint
  • Large Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First grab the moon keepsake printable listed above in the supply list.
  • Decide what color you want the handprint to be.
  • Next grab that shade of color in craft paint, as well as your foam paint brush and paper plate.
  • Squirt the craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Pick one of your child’s hands {left or right – doesn’t matter!}
  • Paint the palm of your child’s hand completely and press it down in the center of the printable, between the M – ON letters.
  • Now carefully lift up your child’s hand from the printable and clean off the excess paint with a baby wipe & a quick trip to the sink.
  • Go ahead and add other embellishments like heart stickers or glitter glue.
