Giving a “high five” to someone can be a really powerful way to connect. It can warm the receiving person’s heart knowing that someone is agreeing with what they’re thinking and feeling. It’s also a positive way to just lift someone up for being “themselves.” High five for being you and being just plain ole’ AWESOME!

So on that note, that’s why today we are encouraging YOU to give dad a BIG OLE’ “gimme five” this upcoming Father’s Day with today’s latest and greatest keepsake printable. With the help of us and a simple ink pad, you and your child can pull this awesome craft idea together within minutes!

From here, all you need to do is print the file provided below, grab an ink pad {or craft paint} and have your child add their handprint to the center, to complete the “high five” themed craft. It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to do it!

Handprint High Five To Dad Craft

Create a handprint keepsake with your kids and celebrate all that Dad does with this special craft idea that will last for years to come.

Craft Supplies:

  • High Five Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Ink Pad or Craft Paint
  • Baby Wipes
  • Sharpie Marker or Pen
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First download the Handprint Father’s Day Themed Printable above.
  • Print it in color on some simple white cardstock paper. You only need ONE print per craft.
  • Next, grab your craft paint or ink pad. Cover your child’s hand completely with color and press it in the center of the printable, right inside the provided frame.
  • Set aside to let it dry a bit.
  • Remove excess paint/ink with baby wipes and wash their hands afterwards.
  • When dry enough, add other embellishments like stickers, glitter – whatever you desire!
