Paper & Paint Handprint Superhero - Keepsake Gift Idea

It’s the perfect excuse to get messy with the kids AND make an adorable crafty superhero piece for family members {and yourself} to enjoy for years to come.

In this post, I’ve included a gender-neutral printable template, so all you need to do is print the file, grab some red craft paint and have your children add their handprint to complete the superhero themed craft. It’s so simple, you have NO excuse NOT to do it!

Paper & Paint Handprint Superhero - Keepsake Gift Idea

This easy craft idea for kids is perfect for a superhero themed party, in the classroom or as a fun home activity! Your little one will love making these handprint superheroes!

Craft Supplies:

  • SUPERHERO PRINTABLE – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Red Craft Paint
  • Large Foam Paint Brush
  • Sharpie Markers
  • Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes

Directions:

  • First grab the superhero printable listed above in the supply list.
  • Print it out, in color, on a single sheet of white cardstock paper {or any color you like!}
  • Grab your red craft paint and paper plate.
  • Squirt some paint on the paper plate.
  • Pick a hand – any hand!
  • Paint the palm of your child’s hand completely red and press it in the center of the printable, near the body of the superhero to create a cape.
  • When you lift up their hand from the paper, grab some baby wipes to remove as much craft paint as you can from their hand.
  • Send them off to the sink for a good scrubbing too!
  • While they are washing up, grab your markers and draw on facial features on the head of the printable {you can turn your superhero into a boy or girl!}
  • Glue on wiggle eyes if you like!
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Add other embellishments you see fit, as well as having children sign the bottom.
  • Then display/gift proudly!
