Popsicle Stick Superheroes – Puppet Kid Craft Idea
It’s seems like I’ve been on a popsicle stick kid craft kick lately on the blog.
But in all honesty, once I start with one craft idea, the creativity juices get going and BAM! 20 popsicle stick kid crafts are ready to go.
It’s seriously amazing how many things you can make out of those inexpensive wood pieces {more of a reason to really invest in a huge pack of them!}
Take for example, today’s Popsicle Stick Superheroes Kid Craft. We really didn’t do anything too special to the sticks themselves BUT the end result turned out pretty cool. PLUS this is a great craft for those crime fighting boys in your life, to get involved with since superheroes are the “thing” right now!
So what are you waiting for? Grab your capes and craft supplies & get to work on crafting up these SUPERHEROES today! You can find ALL the details you need to know, in the full tutorial below!
Happy crafting and fighting crime with your children, of course!!! Don’t forget to share pictures of your craft stick superhero puppets on our Facebook page to admire from afar! #gluedtomycrafts
Popsicle Stick Superhero Craft Supplies:
* Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – one per superhero puppet
* Craft Paint {in various colors!}
* Small Paper Plate
* Small Paint Brushes
* Sharpie Markers
* Colored Cardstock
* Small Wiggle Eyes – two per superhero puppet
* School Glue
* Craft Scissors
Directions:
* First have children paint their jumbo popsicle stick however they like! Simply squirt some craft paint on the paper plate and hand over the paint brush {don’t forget to encourage them to add an “S” to the center for superhero!}
* While they are working on that – cut out some large triangles from the cardstock for the capes and a small rectangle for the masks.
* To finish off the Popsicle Stick Superheroes – simply glue the popsicle stick to the “cape” and add on the mask as well with some wiggle eyes eyes & draw on a mouth with a marker.
* Then add other embellishments you see fit {maybe some glitter glue, small rhinestones etc}
* Finally – let it all dry completely before you play with them proudly!
