  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 1 per craft
  • Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Small Paint Brushes
  • Sharpie Markers
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Small Wiggle Eyes
  • School Glue
  • Craft Scissors

Directions:

  • First have children paint their jumbo popsicle stick, for the superhero suit, however they like! Simply squirt some craft paint on the paper plate and hand over the paint brush {don’t forget to encourage them to add an “S” to the center for superhero!}
  • While they are working on that – cut out some large triangles from the cardstock for the capes and a small rectangle for the masks.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Superhero Puppet – simply glue the “cape” to the back of the craft stick and add on the mask on the front, as well with some wiggle eyes eyes & draw on a mouth with a black Sharpie marker.
  • Then add other embellishments you see fit {maybe some glitter glue, small rhinestones etc}
  • Finally – let it all dry completely before you play with them proudly!

A FEW DIFFERENT IDEAS – your finished popsicle stick puppets can be turned into Christmas ornaments or even bookmarks! For the ornaments just hot glue string to the back side for easy hanging. As for the bookmarks, just slide in the book as is!
