Cardboard Craft Tube Superheroes - Kid Craft Tutorial

Toilet Roll Superhero Puppets

Hi friends! Welcome to another simple kid craft tutorial on Glued To My Crafts.

We are so excited you are here today because we want YOU to fight the crime of “nothing to do” with our super creative Craft Tube Superhero Puppet tutorial that you will find below!

It’s sure to beat any “BOREDOM blues” that might try to step foot in your home these days. Not to mention that these tube shaped superheroes are sure to make super fun memories with those who choose to recreate these gems!

BTW – did you know Michaels sells pre-colored paper craft tubes? Yup! They are very much like toilet paper rolls you have in your home BUT these are a lot more sturdy to hold and come in various pre-painted bright colors so you don’t have to mess with the “messy” stuff {and in some cases – these store-bought craft tubes are a lot cleaner than those from the bathroom!}

Anyways – long story short, when I saw these pre-colored cardboard tubes at Michaels recently, I instantly saw “super hero puppets.” And although my husband thought I was a bit crazy for spending $4 on the 12 pack of cardboard tubes, my son absolutely LOVED the pretend play pieces we made out of them together.

We choose to step up our finished pieces up in the living room with his toy cars and a house made out of Legos and boy was it a hut! It was simple craft fun that made his day and of course, my crafty heart was happy too, because we both were doing what we loved.

So if you want to make some Pretend Superheroes with your child today, may I suggest you pick up a pack of cardboard tubes from your local craft store, as well as some colored craft felt, medium sized wiggle eyes, a few markers and a low temp glue gun? It sounds a bit overwhelming when I type that out but really it’s not! Just watch our video above and follow the full tutorial below! I just know you are going to love this quick superhero craft idea from us!

So what are you waiting for? Grab your capes and craft supplies & get to work on crafting up these toilet paper roll superheroes today! Happy crafting! #gluedtomycrafts

Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
