I have used washable paint, and the color seems to run when I test putting Mod Podge on it. Have I used the wrong paint or does it take a long time to dry completely? If I used the wrong paint, what should I do? Can I use other things to ‘seal’ or should I just leave it as is?

Hello! Cute idea!
I didn’t realize there were different types of mod podge, which one did you use?
Stacey says
I believe it’s acrylic paint. I’ve used DecoArt or Americana Craft paint in the past :) just remember to move fast. As soon as you paint their hand, press it on the canvas and jiggle/press each finger. You can also do test runs on regular paper to “teach” them what to do

What kind of paint do you use? I can’t seem to find a good paint that makes a good print.
Stacey says
any size that will fit your child’s hand :)
