Hi my crafty readers! Odds are, you probably have an action hero fan in your house like I do. So I bet you are really excited to learn that today’s superhero blog post is perfect for those little aspiring superheroes. Most importantly – an easy craft that is perfect for boys!
This Paper Bag Superhero craft idea is not only really fun and simple for little ones BUT I also have included a FREE mask printable below to help you pull it all together. With just a few simple steps you too can help create this AWESOME superhero guy in no time. Then use the leftover mask pieces to let the kids run around and play with. It’s a superhero crafty activity that can last ALL afternoon long!

Unleash your child’s creative superpowers with this imaginative paper bag superhero puppet craft!
Craft Supplies:
- Mask Printable – on our landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Colored Cardstock Paper
- Brown Paper Bag
- Craft Paint
- Paint Brushes
- Paper Plate
- Scissors
- School Glue
- Large Wiggle Eyes
- Black Marker
Directions:
- If you haven’t already – be sure to snag the free file, print it out on white cardstock paper and trim out ONE of the mask designs in the printable.
- Set aside the remaining masks for another superhero craft!
- Next up – squirt the craft paint on the paper plate.
- Hand over the paint brush and have children decorate their paper bag however they like. Really let them get those creative juices going with the paint.
- While they are working on the painting step, grab the colored cardstock paper and scissors.
- Cut out a cape, as well as a superhero symbol for the center of it’s chest.
- Once ready, simple glue everything in place the painted paper bag. The mask goes on the front, while the cape goes on the back. The superhero symbol goes in the center.
- At this point in time you should also glue on the large wiggle eyes and draw on a face with the marker.
- Add any other embellishments you see fit.
- Then display the finished Paper Bag Superhero piece proudly or play with it like a puppet.
