Hi friends! I’m so glad you landed on today’s paper handprint flower bouquet post because YOUR future spring time craft adventures with your young child, awaits you right now!

As the days get longer, it’s time to shred the winter blues and replace the gloom with bright colors, flowers and tons of sunshine!!! Am I right?

So let’s kick off the crafty fun off with today’s flower bouquet made with handprint flowers kid craft idea! It’s ABSOLUTELY perfect to add some springtime cheer to your home, as well as making an awesome keepsake to keep from your child, for years to come! Not to mention, you can give it to someone special for the upcoming Mother’s Day holiday as well!

These easy paper handprint flowers are perfect for craft ideas for kids! They’re a great way to celebrate spring, and they make beautiful bouquets.

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks – 3 per craft
  • Green Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • School Glue
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Green Cardstock Paper
  • Yellow Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Loose Craft Glitter

Directions:

  • First things first – squirt your green craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Pull out THREE jumbo popsicle sticks.
  • Have children paint them completely green.
  • Once the painting is done, have them glue their THREE popsicle sticks together to represent the stems of the flowers {you want the pieces to have spaces in between and flair from one center point – see picture for example}
  • Set aside the popsicle stick piece to let it dry completely.
  • Now grab your scrapbook paper, pencil and scissors.
  • Trace your child’s hands THREE times on the scrapbook paper.
  • Trim out each traced out design.
  • Discard remaining scrapbook paper.
  • Now grab your green and yellow cardstock.
  • Cut out two leaves from the green, while cutting out a triangle for the bottom part of the bouquet, from the yellow.
  • To finish the Handprint Flower craft – have children glue their paper pieces in place on the popsicle stick shape.
  • Then add some glitter and set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!!!

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:

  • 3 Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • Craft Paint
  • Loose Craft Glitter
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • School Glue
  • Pencil or Pen
  • Scissors

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:
