Fingerprint Covered Dalmatian Craft
This simple yet fun DIY activity is sure to bring out your kid’s creativity and imagination as they transform ordinary paper bags into adorable polka dot covered Dalmatian puppets!
Not only will this easy-to-follow tutorial give them an opportunity to explore their artistic side, but it can also become an opportunity for kids (and moms!) alike to bond over some quality time together.

We’ll use some common craft materials plus cardstock paper, glue and scissors – so no need to run out and hit up the store!
Craft Supplies:
- Dog Printable – on our landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Black Crayon
- Large Wiggle Eyes
- White Lunch Bag
- Black Craft Paint
- Small Paper Plate
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
- Baby Wipes
Directions:
- First things first! If you haven’t already – be sure to grab the free file {listed above} and print it out on a single sheet of WHITE cardstock paper. You only need ONE print her dalmatian craft.
- Now use the black crayon to color in the two ears on the printable.
- Next grab your scissors and trim out the dog head shape.
- Grab the glue stick and the white paper bag.
- Go ahead and glue the head piece to the flap of the paper bag.
- Next up – squirt a small amount of black craft paint on your small paper plate.
- Dip your index finger in the black paint and then ANYWHERE on your paper bag puppet.
- Repeat the above step until your dog has TONS of black spots all over it.
- When you are done painting, it’s time for the final step! Go ahead and glue his eyes in place. That’s it!
- Finish it up by adding any other embellishments you see fit.
- Then let your finished craft dry completely before you display the finished Paper Bag Spotted Dog craft piece proudly or play with it like a puppet.
