Dog Popsicle Stick Craft
Inspired by the recent movie release of The Secret Life of Pets – today I’m sharing this adorable Popsicle Stick Dog kids craft idea with you all!
By following our simple tutorial below, you can customize very own your pretend dog to reflect your favorite breed or even your own pet you already have in your home!
Then when you are done crafting, you can use your finished wood dog piece as a sweet keepsake, party decor or even turn it into a quick puppet for some awesome pretend play fun in the living room. Whatever you do – we hope you have fun making it!

With some craft felt, popsicle sticks and some creativity, you can make the cutest doggie in town!
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Craft Felt
- Scissors
- School Glue
- Large Googly Eyes
- optional materials – glitter, rhinestones, craft paint
Directions:
- First assemble the base of your dog by gluing your popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {7 next to each and two across.}
- Set aside to let it dry completely.
- Next {if you like} have children paint the front of their popsicle stick shape any color they desire!
- To finish off the Popsicle Stick Dog craft, cut out a large triangular piece for the face of the dog, as well as ears, eyes, paws and tail from the craft felt.
- Glue those to the front of the popsicle stick design, along with the wiggle eyes.
- Then either decorate with glitter, rhinestones or even more craft paint before displaying proudly!!!
