I’m going to show you how easy it is to transform ordinary wooden craft sticks into adorable little penguin friends within minutes! Sweet and simple describes this craft to the “T” and it’s sure to be a blast & beat the winter blues with! Just what mamas want to hear!

Calling ALL my crafty kids! Let your creativity go wild this winter season with our super easy Popsicle Stick Penguin craft tutorial!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Wood Craft Sticks – 9 per craft
  • White Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Basic Kid Craft Scissors
  • Tacky Glue or Hot Glue Gun
  • Orange Craft Felt
  • Black Craft Felt

Instructions:

  • First glue your wooden craft sticks together to look like a fence {seven next to each other and two across the back}.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Repeat for each penguin craft you want to make today.
  • Now you are ready for paint. Go ahead and paint the front of your popsicle stick fence completely white.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Next grab your black felt and cut out two half circle arms for the penguin, as well as some small square eyes.
  • Then grab your orange felt and cut out a large triangle beak for his nose & two heart shaped pieces for his feet.
  • To finish off the penguin kids craft idea, have children glue on their felt embellishments to the front of their white painted popsicle stick fence from earlier.
  • Then have them add other embellishments to give it life before displaying your popsicle stick penguin friend proudly!!!
