Paper Penguin Craft Idea With Cotton Balls

Not too long ago, my son’s preschool class did a classroom unit on penguins. After learning how much fun my lil man had in class during that week, I decided to continue the fun at home by creating this Cotton Ball Penguin kid craft for him.

With just me helping with the glue, my son was able to create this adorable penguin piece in no time. Now it’s displayed proudly on our fridge and I want YOU & your child to add one to your fridge too!!

To help you along the way, not only am I sharing this easy step-by-step penguin art project tutorial, but I’m also sharing the printable template that goes along with this craft for FREE. All you need to do is download the file below, print it and glue some cotton balls on the penguin’s belly. It’s super easy, especially since I laid the framework out for you with the printable!

So what are you waiting for? Waddle on over to your craft supplies and gather everything you need to make this simple & inexpensive kid craft. I bet your child is going to love it!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
