This fun and easy kids craft is inspired by our love of strawberries. It’s a great way to celebrate summer, or use it as a classroom project. All you need are popsicle sticks, paint, and some cardstock paper!
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Wood Craft Sticks
- Red Craft Paint
- Foam Paint Brush
- Red Cardstock Paper
- Green Cardstock Paper
- Basic Craft Scissors
- School Glue
- Black Sharpie Marker
Directions:
- First grab three craft sticks {three per strawberry} and glue them together to look like a triangle.
- Set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each strawberry craft you want to make today.
- While that is drying, grab your red cardstock paper and cut a triangle that will fit inside the craft stick design.
- At this time, you should cut out the leaves for the top of the strawberry from the green cardstock.
- Once the craft stick shapes are secure and completely dried, go ahead and have children paint their pieces completely red.
- To finish off this Popsicle Stick Red Strawberry craft, have children glue their paper pieces in place on the craft stick shape and top off with any other embellishments they see fit. Don’t forget to also add black dots with a marker on the cardstock piece to represent the strawberry seeds.
- Once done, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!
