Craft Supplies:
To make this Popsicle Stick Strawberry Ornament, gather the following:
- Jumbo Wood Craft Sticks – 3 per photo craft
- School Glue or Hot Glue Gun (adult supervision required for hot glue)
- Red Craft Paint
- Yellow Craft Paint
- Small Paper Plate
- Paint Brush
- Q-Tips
- White Cardstock Paper
- Free “Berry Much” Printable – on box.com
- Coloring Materials
- Craft Scissors
- Single Hole Punch
- Twine or Ribbon
Most of these materials are likely already in your craft stash, and if not, they’re inexpensive and easy to find!
Directions:
Be sure to lay down newspaper or a protective surface to avoid any paint messes.
- First things first – start by painting all three jumbo craft sticks completely red. Set them aside to dry.
- Assemble the base of your strawberry photo frame by gluing the sticks together to form a triangle. Let the glue dry completely before moving on.
- While the base dries, grab your printout and some coloring materials. Color one of the strawberry stems in the printout, leaving the other design untouched so you can use it for another craft later.
- After coloring, carefully cut out the stem along with one of the phrases from the printout.
- Take your printed photo and trim it down to fit neatly inside the painted popsicle stick triangle. Glue the photo to the back of the frame.
- Attach the paper strawberry stem to the top of the frame, along with the chosen phrase.
- To finish off the Craft Stick Strawberry Photo Frame – use a Q-tip to add small yellow dots across the frame to mimic strawberry seeds.
- Once everything is dry, punch a hole at the top of the frame and thread a piece of string through it to create a hanger.
