Popsicle Stick Valentine Foxes - Kid Craft Idea For Valentine's Day

Looking for a craft idea to do with your little crafter during the month of February? Then give this adorable popsicle stick valentine fox tutorial a try!

Popsicle Stick Valentine Foxes - Kid Craft Idea For Valentine's Day

Popsicle Stick Foxes For Valentine’s Day

Just like all my crazy ideas that come to life on our kids craft website, this one started from a basic triangle popsicle stick shape and Valentine’s Day printed scrapbook paper.

You might recognize the same triangle head shape concept from our unicorn, Valentine love bug gnome and most recently – dinosaur tutorial post. For me, if you can glue together a basic triangle shape from popsicle sticks, you can make our crafty idea come to life within minutes!

Now what are you waiting for?! You can find all the crafty details below and recreate it with your child today. I highly encourage you to think outside the box while you are recreating your own and maybe change up the colors to reflect YOUR style or maybe even add some pre-made Valentine’s Day stickers to make your new fox friend stand out on the big LOVESTRUCK day. Honestly – the choice is yours and I just know you are going to rock it!

Just one last note – I highly suggest this craft for the older children in your home since a glue gun is involved. Other than that – this valentine fox craft tutorial is super easy, just like ALL the tutorials you can find on Glued To My Crafts right now!

Popsicle Stick Valentine Foxes

It’s a super easy kid craft idea that ANYONE can recreate this Valentine’s Day season!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Scrapbook Paper
  • Craft Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • Paper Craft Scissors

Directions:

  • First grab three popsicle sticks {three per fox} and hot glue them together to look like a triangle.
  • Set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each fox you want to make today.
  • While those are drying, grab your scrapbook paper and cut a triangular shape that will be placed within the popsicle stick design and be the face of the fox.
  • At this time, you should also cut out two smaller triangles for the fox’s ears, as well as eyes & a small nose.
  • To finish off the Popsicle Stick Valentine Fox – have children paint their popsicle stick design completely, as well as gluing the paper pieces and eyes/nose in place.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
