Sidewalk Chalk Fox Craft
Today’s latest chalk art project has me smiling from ear to ear.
If you could see my face as I type this very post, you might think “GIRL! You need to calm down!” But in all seriousness, just like all our tutorials that have been shared on the Glued To My Crafts website the past five years, I’m super stoked to hit publish on this one as well. On that note, if you have been following us for awhile now, you might have seen ALL the chalk art projects I’ve shared as of late. Several of which have been back to back on our front page, the last two months. It’s my NEWEST obsession and I just can’t stop coming up with new ideas!
All of our sidewalk chalk crafts are similar in nature {the steps and the supplies} but each one takes a slightly different direction towards the end of the tutorial and a NEW design is born within minutes. Today’s fox craft is similar to our super popular {and semi-viral} cat post from last month.
So with all that being said, I repeat, chalk isn’t just for the sidewalk and I’m going to prove that to you once more, with today’s FOX HEAD idea! Just like all our other tutorials, this one is super easy to recreate AND extra fun too! It might even be a “sneaky as a fox” way to try something NEW today!
If this orange fox craft tutorial has spark your interest, keep scrolling for all the details as well as the free fox face shape printable to get you started with ease. This way you can straight to work on making your own furry fox friend come to life on paper, within minutes!
Enough chit chat – happy crafting, my friends! Have a FOX-TASTIC day! #gluedtomycrafts

- White Cardstock Paper
- Color Printer
- Crayons, Coloring Pencils, Markers
- Paper Craft Scissors
- Black or Gray Cardstock Paper
- Sidewalk Chalk
- Baby Wipes
- Glue Stick or Tape Runner Adhesive

Directions:
- First things first – grab our free fox face printable, listed above in the supply list. This will give you a few features to make your fox friend come to life on paper.
- Next, go ahead and find it on your computer, right click and print the file on a single sheet of white cardstock. You only need ONE printable to make one chalk art fox craft. Print as many as you like but only use our file for personal use please.
- Now that you have the printable, go ahead and color in the TWO triangle ear of the printable. Leave the rest white.
- Once done coloring, trim out each shape in the printable. The only thing you don’t need to worry about/cut out are the two black eye shapes. I just put those on the printable so you can get an idea of how to lay the pieces on your chalk covered piece.
- Discard excess paper.
- Set aside various fox face cutouts.
- Now grab a single sheet of black cardstock and your various pieces of sidewalk chalk.
- Make several lines going outward from the center of the paper {see our image for example} to make the “fur” for your fox friend. Add as many lines and colors that you like. You want it to be nice and “fluffy” though.
- Use baby wipes to clean off excess chalk from fingers and hands.
- When done with the chalk, go ahead and grab your face cutouts from earlier & your glue stick.
- Starting with the nose piece, glue the shape to the bottom of your chalk art design you just made.
- Follow that up with the large wiggle eyes, triangle ears and if you like, the triangle for on the forehead.
- Now add any other embellishments you see fit.
- Then display your chalk art fox paper piece proudly for all to see!
