Paper Handprint Fox Cards - Kid Craft Idea For Fall

Have you ever taken your child’s handprint and turned it into something creative? Handprint crafts are a fun way for kids to be artistic while making a keepsake they’ll treasure.

Today I want to share a cute handprint fox craft that is perfect for little hands to make. Not only is this a fun craft, it also allows kids to put their unique mark on their creation. By using their own handprint as the fox’s body, they become a permanent part of their artwork.

All it takes is some paper, googly eyes and a little imagination to turn tiny handprints into playful foxes. This step-by-step project brings out the creative spirit in little ones while helping them develop fine motor skills.

So gather your supplies and get ready for a toddler-friendly crafting session by following the tutorial below. Happy crafting, my friends!

Paper Handprint Fox Cards - Kid Craft Idea For Fall

Get crafty this week and make some special paper handprint fox cards! It’s a great way to get creative and it’s sure to make someone smile.

Craft Supplies:

  • Cardstock Paper {red or orange}
  • Pre-Folded Cardstock Card
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Googly Eyes

Directions:

  • The first step is simple – simply use a pencil to trace your child’s little hand {left or right} on some red or orange cardstock paper.
  • Now take your scissors and trim out the traced handprint design you just made.
  • Out of the remaining cardstock paper, go ahead and cut out a head shape and glue it to the handprint cutout.
  • Finally – the last step is to add fox embellishments to bring him to life! I added wiggle eyes and some white puffy paint to define his face.
  • Then, when it’s completely dry, attach the handprint fox to the cardstock card front for easy mailing!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use.
