Paper Plate Rocket – Super Fun Outer Space Kid Craft Idea
Calling ALL my crafty mommy friends! Today’s post is for those adventurous kids that love outer space and rockets!
Today I’m sharing how YOU can make a simple Paper Plate Rocket within minutes and have some big smiles afterwards.
This kid friendly space themed craft is completely customizable when it comes to the colors and of course – it’s super easy, inexpensive and fun for all ages! This rocket doesn’t even require fancy tools OR a big wallet either. It’s just plain ole’ simple craft fun that is out of this world!!!

PAIR YOUR ROCKET PAPER PLATE CRAFT WITH —> Recycled Water Bottle Rocket – Kid Craft Idea
Pretend Rocket Craft Supplies:
* Large or Small Paper Plate {one per rocket craft}
* Favorite Colored Tissue Paper
* Colored Cardstock Paper or Construction Paper
* School Glue
* Kid Friendly Craft Scissors
* Hand-Held Office Stapler
1-2-3 BLAST OFF Directions:
* First cut your paper plate into a football/rocket shape.
* Now take your tissue paper and cut it into small squares {let the kids practice their cutting skills}
* Take your paper plate piece and put a good amount of glue all over it. Have children place the tissue paper on top of the glue, until it’s completely covered.
* When they are done with that, set aside to let them dry completely while you trim out the other rocket features from your cardstock {a triangle top, flower petal wings, a circle window and of course, some orange flames}
* To finish off the Paper Plate Rocket kid craft – simply staple the finished cardstock pieces in their designated spots.
* Have children add other embellishments to really make it their own!
* Then display proudly!
