Craft Supplies:

  • Zebra Head Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Black Crayon
  • Pink Crayon
  • Scissors
  • Black Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Clean, Plastic Fork
  • Glue Stick or Tape Runner Adhesive

You can find ALL our favorite craft supplies via our AMAZON SHOP link!

Directions:

  • First print out the zebra head printable listed above in the supply.
  • Print it out on a single sheet of white cardstock. You will need ONE printable per zebra craft.
  • Next up – grab your black and pink crayons.
  • Color in the hair & nose in the zebra head printable. You can also add/draw in anything else you like.
  • When ready – trim out the zebra head piece with your scissors.
  • Discard excess paper.
  • Set aside the head piece.
  • Now grab your second piece of white cardstock paper and the scissors again.
  • Fold the paper in half and trim it down into two pieces. Straight up the center to create two equal rectangle pieces. This is the zebra’s new body.
  • Save one half of the white paper for today’s craft and save the other for a rainy day!
  • Now for the painting step. Grab your black craft paint, the plastic fork and your small paper plate.
  • Squirt a small amount of the black paint on the paper plate. You don’t need a lot. The size of a quarter is a good starting point.
  • Grab your fork and rub it in the craft paint.
  • Now, using the fork as your paint brush, make several line strokes all over the white paper to create zebra strips.
  • Repeat over and over again until you have the look you want.
  • When you are done with the painting step, set aside your paper to let it dry completely before you glue on the head piece to the top.
  • You can also add stickers, rhinestones, small bows etc. to really make it your own! Originally I was going to add two painted clothespins pinched to the bottom for legs but last minute I decided to scrap that. Maybe you can give it a try?
  • When you are ready – display it proudly for all to see! Most importantly – share your fork painted zebra creations with us on Facebook!
