Come one, come all! Today’s curly hair inspired DIY idea is super fun and extra girly for those who love to make pretend play pieces! Our quick-to-make design, partnered w/creative “curling ribbon” hair, has results that are stylish, fun and perfect for ALL year long making & playing! Plus they make a fun sound when you “shake them!”
As a crafter who likes to stay on a budget and not go “crazy” with elaborate materials, I can safely say, this a great craft that won’t break the piggy bank! In fact, you might even have some leftover curly ribbon bows laying around from a present you either received or recently gifted. On that note, this idea might even be free since it’s a great upcycle idea!

Curly Sue Puppets Craft Supplies:
* Jumbo Popsicle Sticks {one per craft}
* Curly Ribbon Toppers {affiliate link to similar}
* Sharpie Markers {or craft paint & paint brushes}
* Glitter Cardstock {affiliate link}
* Craft Scissors
* Low Temp Hot Glue Gun {affiliate link}
optional – rhinestones, glitter, glitter glue
Directions:
* First grab ONE JUMBO POPSICLE STICK and your Sharpie markers. Go ahead and draw on a face, shirt, ballet slippers and anything else you like, onto the wood piece. Set aside.
* Grab your glitter cardstock. Cut out a tutu for your ballerina. Again, set it aside.
* Now get the glue gun, hot and ready.
* If you need to, trim down the paper piece on your curly ribbon bow, so it fits to the back of your puppet.
* Go ahead and hot glue the curling ribbon hair to the back of the puppet and the cardstock tutu to the front of it.
* To finish off your popsicle stick puppets, add any other embellishments {like small bows, glitter, rhinestones} that you see fit to really make it your own.
* Then display and/or play with proudly!
