On that note – you are in for a wickedly good time today if you decide to do this particular tutorial with your little one! For this jack-o-lantern themed art project, all you need is wood craft sticks, craft paint, cardstock paper, a pipe cleaner, school glue and a single cupcake liner for a tutu. Super inexpensive materials! We made it extra easy peasy on your wallet!
So if you want to shake up your Halloween plans and make something extra unique with your little crafter today, look no further because we have the FULL tutorial for these #cutenotscary Popsicle Stick Jack-O-Lantern Ballerinas below!
Keep in mind, this could also be a NEW tradition in place of carving pumpkins on Halloween night! You could leave these finished Halloween pumpkin ballerinas in small flower pots or random places on your front porch, instead! Just trying to get you to think outside the box this season 🙂

Get creative with the kiddos this Halloween & make some unique jack-o-lantern ballerinas made from popsicle sticks! It’s a fun craft idea that’ll have your little ones twirling and giggling in no time at all!
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Mini Popsicle Sticks
- Low Temp Glue Gun
- Orange Craft Paint
- Small Paint Brush
- Black Tulip Puffy Paint
- Cupcake Liner
- Pipe Cleaner
Directions:
- First get the glue gun hot and ready!
- Assemble the base of your orange pumpkin friend by gluing THREE jumbo popsicle sticks and TWO mini popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {3 next to each other and the mini popsicle sticks across}
- Set aside to let it dry completely. Repeat for each pumpkin ballerina friend you want to make today.
- When dry enough, go ahead and paint your newly made popsicle stick shape completely orange with the craft paint.
- Go ahead and also draw on the facial embellishments with the black puffy paint.
- When done, set it aside to allow the paint to dry.
- Go ahead and take the cupcake liner & fold it in half for the ballerina tutu. Glue it to the center of your popsicle stick shape.
- Finally – take your silver pipe cleaner and fold it to make arms for your ghost. Go ahead and glue that to the back of the decorated popsicle stick shape.
- Add any other embellishments you see fit.
- Then let it dry completely before displaying proudly!!!
