Ballerina Puppets Made With Seashells

Today’s Seashell Ballerina craft tutorial is for the little girls in your life and it’s the perfect excuse to get crafty & play together this afternoon!

These seashell tutu ballerina puppets are simply perfect for pretend play on the sunny beach this upcoming summer break – don’t you think? You could even incorporate this into a slumber party, summer camp or even birthday gathering!

Whatever you decide to do – let’s not delay the fun! Grab your supplies and “dance” into craft heaven with these adorable & completely customizable mermaid ballerinas! Then display as is OR use them in some creative imaginative play. Whatever you do – have fun creating them with your child today! Seashell Ballerina Puppets - Beachy Kid Craft Idea For Summer

Grab those seashells from the beach and start crafting! These adorable ballerina puppets are sure to become treasured keepsakes your child can cherish forever!

Craft Supplies:

  • Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
  • Small Flat Seashells
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Paint Pens
  • Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First things first – you are going to decorate the popsicle stick to look like the ballerina’s body. Start with hair at the top and work your way to the bottom to the feet.
  • Next up – cut out some hair from your cardstock paper for your ballerina.
  • Now get the glue gun hot and ready!
  • Glue ONE seashell in the center of the popsicle stick shape to give the look of a “tutu.”
  • Follow that up with the mermaid hair on the back of the decorated stick.
  • To finish your seashell ballerinas, add other embellishments {like scrapbook stickers, glitter glue, rhinestones} that you see fit to really make it your own.
  • Allow your beach ballerina puppets to dry completely and then display/play with proudly!
