Directions:

  • For the pencils – first paint some large popsicle sticks completely yellow. Grab your pink paint and paint one end for the eraser. Now grab some black cardstock and cut a triangle out for the tip. Glue that to the other end of the popsicle stick and let it all dry completely before displaying proudly.
  • For the bus – grab 4 large popsicle sticks and 10 regular sized ones. Lay the large ones next to each other, one by one, on a flat surface. Now grab your other popsicle sticks and start gluing them the other direction {hard to explain but refer to the above picture for example} Once all the popsicle sticks are down, set aside to let it all dry completely. Once dry, have children paint their bus completely yellow, while you cut out some wheels & windows out of white/black cardstock. To finish the craft, glue those cardstock pieces in place before displaying proudly!
  • Both these crafts can be easily turned into fridge decorations {you know – so you can show off school work throughout the year} by adding magnets to back. You can also use the pencils as bookmarks and the school bus is perfect for pretend play!!!
