Don’t Let Pigeon Drive The Bus – Kid Craft Ideas
Back-to-school season is already on my mind and I was recently inspired to take the beloved book “Don’t Let Pigeon Drive The Bus” by Mo Williems and turn it into a “first day of school” craft idea!
When a bus driver takes a break from his route, a very unlikely volunteer springs up to take his place-a pigeon! But you’ve never met one like this before. As he pleads, wheedles, and begs his way through the book, children will love being able to answer back and decide his fate.
In his hilarious picture book debut, popular cartoonist Mo Willems perfectly captures a preschooler’s temper tantrum.
All I did was take our basic Popsicle Stick Bus and Paper Plate Bus craft posts already posted on Glued To My Crafts but tweaked them a little by adding the character “Pigeon” in the front seat of each!

I love the bus crafts! We haven’t read this book yet. But, I definitely want to! My kiddos are fascinated by buses.
