Inspired by my love of crayons {and my awesome teacher friends} today I present to YOU our Handprint Box Of Crayons kid craft idea!!!
Perfect to make in a classroom setting AND it doubles as an awesome keepsake as well! Just think of how awesome a large bulletin board would look with EVERYONE’s colorful finished piece!!! Not to mention – this handprint crafty idea goes perfectly with the book “The Day The Crayons Quit” which would make story time even better!

Craft Supplies:
- Yellow Cardstock Paper
- Green Cardstock Paper
- Pencil or Pen
- Kid Friendly Craft Scissors
- School Glue
- Loose Craft Glitter {in various colors – five different ones}
- Hand-Held Office Stapler
- Black Sharpie Marker
KEEP THE FUN GOING WITH OUR —> Handprint Back-To-School Keepsake Poem
Directions:
- First trace your child’s hand on the sheet of yellow cardstock.
- Trim out the traced design with your paper craft scissors.
- Now grab your green cardstock and trim out a rectangle for the “box” aspect of the crayon box, as well as a oval for the center.
- Go ahead and attach your green pieces to the yellow handprint.
- Finish off the Handprint Box Of Crayons keepsake craft by having children draw a line of glue on EACH finger and shaking glitter on top to represent the crayons.
- Shake off excess glitter and set aside to let it dry completely.
- Then display proudly for everyone to see!!!
