Crayon Puppets Made From Popsicle Sticks
You know what the best part of this latest craft idea from us is? Kids can give their crayon friends ANY personality, color or style they like! It’s an inexpensive craft project that will allow kids to REALLY get those creative juices flowing as they make a crayon friend out of craft sticks!

Are you looking for a fun and easy craft idea for the kids? These popsicle stick crayon friends are perfect and can be paired in your story time plans!
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Mini Popsicle Sticks
- Small Paper Plate
- Craft Paint
- Paint Brushes
- Cardstock Paper
- Large Wiggle Eyes
- School Glue
- Scissors
Directions:
- First assemble the base of your crayon friend by gluing your popsicle sticks together to look like a fence {3 jumbo next to each and two mini across.}
- Set aside to let it dry completely.
- Now grab your paint, paint brush and popsicle stick base. Have children paint the front of it any color they like, while you cut out a crayon “tip” from the cardstock.
- To finish off the Popsicle Stick Crayons craft, have children glue the cardstock piece to the popsicle stick design, along with drawing on a face with the remaining paint.
- When done decorating your popsicle stick shape, set it aside to let everything dry completely.
- Then display proudly and read a book afterwards in honor!
