Cherry Blossom Tree Craft Idea

Back when I first started blogging, I shared a “Jump Into Spring – Cherry Pop Blossom Artwork” post on Glued To My Crafts, that was pretty popular in blog land back then {sadly – that post has been deleted/retired on our website!}

Although I’m still pretty embarrassed by the post now {boy have I learned and grown since then!} that particular craft is still a cute idea that needs to be embraced now. Especially since today’s kid friendly craft idea is also themed around those beautiful pink & white covered Cherry Blossom Trees you will be seeing everywhere soon!

With it being absolutely perfect for spring celebrations, our Bubble Wrap Print – Cherry Blossom Tree kids craft idea is not only super simple, but really inexpensive and fun for all ages.

All you need to do is download the free printable file below, print it, grab some bubble wrap/paint and get straight to work with your child. It’s super easy, somewhat messy {but fun} and perfect for young children. I’ve set up the basic frame work – it’s your job to get the creative juices flowing!

So don’t let this idea blow away in the wind! Dump those simple craft supplies on the table and get to work now! Find all the details and free tree branch printable below for this bubble wrap print flower blossom tree craft tutorial!

This fun and easy project is great for kids and adults alike. Tag us in your cherry blossom creations to show us what you made!

Craft Supplies:

  • Tree Printable – on our landing page
  • White or Light Blue Cardstock Paper
  • Bubble Wrap
  • Small Paper Plate
  • White Craft Paint
  • Pink Craft Paint

Directions:

  • First grab the freebie above and print out your Cherry Blossom Tree printable on your choice of colored or white cardstock. You only need ONE tree print per craft. Print as many as you like!
  • Next place some pink and white paint on a paper plate.
  • Have children use a small square piece of bubble wrap as their paint brush/stamp to paint some blossoms all over the tree design. They will want a mixture of BOTH pink and white paint on the tree {but avoiding the tree trunk.}
  • Once done, they can add other embellishments if they like. I sprinkled some pink glitter on top of mine before the paint dried.
  • Then set aside to let it dry completely before you display it probably for all to see their spring tree artwork!
  • Discard leftover bubble wrap stamps.

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
