Are you looking for a fun and creative activity to do with your kids this St. Patrick’s Day? Look no further than our crafty Puffy Paint Shamrock project! It is an inexpensive, easy-to-do craft idea that will be sure to make all the leprechauns jealous!
Craft Supplies:
- White Shaving Cream
- White School Glue
- Green Food Coloring
- Loose Craft Glitter
- Large, Foam Paint Brush
- Small Bowl
- Shamrock Printable – on our landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
Directions:
- First print out the provided shamrock template printable {or draw your own design on some plain white cardstock paper instead.}
- In a small bowl, mix equal parts of shaving cream with white school glue. This will create a sticky frosting consistency.
- Next, add your food coloring to get the desired color. I added a few drops of blue & yellow to get a light green color. Please keep in mind, that once the mixture dries, it will be a darker shade.
- Once you have the consistency/color you like – have your child use a paint brush to fill in the shamrock with the “frosting.”
- To finish your clover design, sprinkle some glitter on top of the glue mixture and set aside to let it dry completely.
- Once completely dry, add other embellishments that you like or go to displaying proudly! {since my son got a bit out of the lines, I went ahead and took a Sharpie to outline the design}
