Craft Supplies:
- Wooden Craft Spoons – one per leprechaun puppet
- Green/Orange/Black Sharpies {or craft paint & paint brushes}
- Green Colored Cardstock Paper
- School Glue
- Basic Craft Scissors
- optional materials – other embellishments like small bows, rhinestones, glitter etc.
Directions:
- First the fun part! Have children draw {or paint} their wooden spoon however they like. I went with a green body, orange beard and black facial features.
- Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
- While children are working on that – cut out a simple green hat from the cardstock.
- To finish off the Wooden Spoon Leprechaun – simply glue the paper hat to the wooden spoon and add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter, rhinestones etc.}
- To display, you can add magnets to the back, stick it in a flower pot or hot glue some string for easy hanging!
