Easy Paper Plate Alien – Kid Craft Tutorial
Hi friends! I’m so glad you landed on today’s Paper Plate Alien Craft tutorial. You are going to love it!
Lately my son has been watching a ton of Disney. I don’t think there is ever a moment during the day, that the TV isn’t changed over to Disney or Disney Junior during the day. So on that note – today’s kid friendly alien place paper plate craft post is inspired by the Disney movie Toy Story.
One afternoon after watching the first Toy Story movie with my son, I decided a themed craft was in order {because that’s what crafty moms do!}
Which led into a search through my stash of supplies, looking for the perfect shade of green tissue paper. Then after an hour later of our time “crafting” we had this “Easy Paper Plate Green Alien Craft” displayed on our fridge. It’s mainly inspired by those cute little aliens in the movie. Although my husband said our finished craft looked more like a monster but I majorly disagree with that!
Now I know you are thinking – another easy kid craft??? I swear – I’m not pulling your leg! It really is EASY! {it’s my favorite kind to share on the blog} Plus this craft is fun for all ages and super affordable. I would bet a few dollars – that even the moms who “claim” they aren’t crafty, could pull this off for their kids. Now are you ready to learn how?
Here is what you need to recreate it:

Paper Plate Alien Craft Supplies:
* Large Paper Plate {one per alien craft}
* Green Tissue Paper
* Purple & White Cardstock
* Craft Scissors
* School Glue

Directions:
1. First tear/cut up your tissue paper into 2×2 inch squares.
2. Now cover your paper plate completely in school glue. Hand over the paper plate and tissue paper to your child, and ask them to completely cover the plate.
3. While they are decorating their plate – cut out the features of the alien’s face. This is where you can get really creative.
4. Once the paper plate is completely covered in tissue paper, glue on the facial features.
5. Set aside your finished Paper Plate Alien to let it dry completely before displaying proudly.

And that’s it! Like I said – super easy! If you don’t have green tissue paper, green construction paper will work too. Remember – you can always alter the supplies to make it work for you!
Has a movie ever inspired your crafts? I wanna hear ALL about it in the comments :-) #gluedtomycrafts
You can also make an alien space ship with the same steps above! Just use a paper plate half instead and add a cardstock alien shape with the stapler!
