Popsicle sticks and leopard spots make for the perfect craft project! Kids will love creating their own animals with this easy tutorial.
Craft Supplies:
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Mini Popsicle Sticks
- Low Temp Glue Gun
- Yellow Craft Paint
- Black Craft Paint
- Small Paint Brush
- Foam Paint Brush
- Small Paper Plate
- Scissors
- White Cardstock Paper
- Leopard Head Printable {on box.com}
- Crayons, Coloring Pencils or Markers
- optional material – Wiggle Eyes
Directions:
- First get the glue gun hot and ready.
- Assemble the base of your leopard friend by gluing THREE jumbo popsicle sticks and TWO mini popsicle sticks together to look like a fence door {3 next to each other and the mini popsicle sticks across to secure in place.}
- Allow it to dry completely. Repeat for each leopard you want to make today.
- Now grab your two colors of craft paint, paper plate and form brush.
- Squirt both colors of paint on the paper plate.
- Using the foam paint brush, first paint the flat side of your popsicle stick shape completely yellow.
- Follow that up by making black polka dots all over.
- Set it aside to let it dry completely.
- While that is drying, go ahead and grab the printed printable, your choice of coloring material and scissors.
- Go ahead and color in one of the head shapes & trim it out afterwards.
- To finish off the Popsicle Stick Leopard craft, glue the head piece to the painted wood shape.
- Add any other embellishments you see fit.
- Then let it dry completely before displaying proudly!!!
