Popsicle Stick Camera Craft Idea For Kids

Are you looking for a creative craft idea for your little ones? Try making this fun pretend play camera out of popsicle sticks!

Popsicle Stick Camera Craft Idea For Kids

Pretend Camera Made From Popsicle Sticks

Today’s tutorial is a unique craft idea where we encourage you to make a camera out of wooden craft sticks. Yes, you read that right! We took some basic wooden popsicle sticks from the craft store and glued them together in a square design, that we later turned into a camera with a little bit of craft paint and cardstock paper. It sounds more complicated than it really is – promise!

The whole concept is to have a pretend play piece for your budding little photographer to play with but not break the bank with!

On that note, our craft idea is neither expensive or overly complicated either. No need to be tech savvy with this one! Our Popsicle Stick Camera kid craft idea is not only really easy for adults to put together on the fly but if your “photographer” happen to break it, you can fix it {or remake it} just as fast!

With all that being said, this camera kid craft idea is absolutely perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to make with their moms, dads and caretakers today!

So what are you waiting for? Let’s grab those craft supplies, follow the full tutorial below and get ready to make a “picture-perfect” crafty afternoon!

Happy crafting my friends!!! Don’t forget to snap a few pictures of your children with their finished craft stick camera piece and share them on our Facebook page or tag us on Instagram to see them!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
