Fork Painted Koala Bear Craft

Whether it’s for a school project, rainy-day boredom buster or creative party decoration, this Fork Painted Koala Bear art project idea is the perfect companion for all of the crafters out there!

Craft Supplies:

  • Plastic Fork
  • Silver Tulip Puffy Paint
  • Craft Glitter
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Gray Cardstock Paper
  • Koala Printable – on our landing page
  • Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Large Wiggle Eyes

Directions:

  • First things first – download and print out the koala ear printable on GRAY cardstock paper. You need ONE print per koala craft.
  • Go ahead and use scissors to trim out the two ears shapes & one nose.
  • Discard excess paper and set aside the paper cutouts till later.
  • Next up – squirt several circles of SILVER paint, in the center of your white cardstock paper. You don’t need a lot at first. Start off with the size of a quarter and gradually add more after your child starts the next painting step.
  • Now have children take their fork – which is their “paint brush” and spread the paint ALL around to make the fur of their koala. Just make sure they keep the paint on the paper but they can move it anywhere and in any design/shape/angle they like.
  • Once they are done creating the fur, go ahead and sprinkle some loose craft glitter on top of the wet paint, to really make it shine!
  • Finally – the last step of this fork painted koala craft. Glue your cardstock pieces and wiggle eyes to the painted piece of paper. Start with the nose in the center and work from there.
  • And that’s it! At this point you are done BUT you can add other embellishments if you choose, to give it your special touch!
  • When done, set aside to let it dry completely before displaying proudly!

Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
