Handprint I Love You SNOW Much Keepsake

This easy handprint craft is perfect for kids to recreate during the winter months!

Craft Supplies:

  • Snow Much Printable – on our landing page
  • Light Blue Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Blue Craft Paint
  • Washable White Craft Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Baby Wipes
  • Snowflake Stickers

Directions:

  • First grab the snow much keepsake printable listed above in the supply list.
  • Now print out the provided handprint file on a single sheet of light blue cardstock paper.
  • Next grab your blue paint, as well as your foam paint brush and paper plate.
  • Squirt the craft paint on the paper plate.
  • Pick one of your child’s hands {left or right – doesn’t matter!}
  • Paint the palm and fingers of your child’s hand completely blue and press it down in the center of the printable, between the “SN” and “W” letters. The handprint is going to be the “O” in the SNOW phrase.
  • Now carefully lift up your child’s hand from the printable and clean off the excess paint with a baby wipe & a quick trip to the sink.
  • Next up – some snow to really tie it together! Go ahead and squirt some white craft paint on the same paper plate from earlier {but not touching the blue paint!}
  • Have children dip their finger in the white paint, then on the paper to create small snowflakes falling all around the design.
  • Again, once they are done with the painting step, send them to the sink for a quick clean up.
  • Now to finish the craft – now add any other embellishments you see fit, to give their snow themed keepsake piece a personalized look.
  • Don’t forget to write your child’s name, age and date on the back!
  • Then display/gift away proudly your child’s beautiful handprint “I Love You Snow Much” keepsake piece!

Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
