Recently I received a “Craft Chest” from Yoobi {shoutout to them!} to share on Glued To My Crafts.
After checking out all the awesome craft supplies inside, I decided that the large white pom poms and pipe cleaners inside the kit were absolutely PERFECT to “build” small pretend play snowmen with!
So wam-bam here we are today – here is my simple, step by step tutorial for Large Pom Pom Snowmen. It’s the PERFECT DIY kid craft idea to do together, while staying WARM indoors, when it’s too cold to play outside! #gluedtomycrafts
Wanna build a snowman?!
Along with the large white pom poms and colorful pipe cleaners from the kit, I also used Tulip Puffy Paint {affiliate link} and my trusty hot glue gun to get the job done.
With adult supervision, to recreate my craft, simply glue two-three white pom poms together, in a line, just like you would when building a snowman.
Repeat for each snowman you want to make. Set aside to let the hot glue set.
Once the pom poms are secure, simply decorate them by tying & twisting a pipe cleaner around his neck for a scarf, as well as giving him facial features with the fabric puffy paint.
Then set aside to let them dry completely, before displaying and playing with proudly!
And of course – you can go off the beaten path of our tutorial and add the other supplies from the craft chest onto your custom snowmen pieces as well.
This particular kit includes things like feathers, wiggle eyes and even craft foam to get those crafty juices flowing so no two snowmen will be alike!
You can also pull out the small buttons, rhinestones and even glitter from your craft stash for extra fun!
Whatever you decide to do with our snowman-themed tutorial, we hope it inspires TONS of crafty fun within you and your child this winter season!!! Remember – this idea can be done with ANY size and style of pom pom, so don’t let this idea intimidate you!
You can also check out our Cotton Pad Snowman Cards tutorial for another festive idea to make today!!!
Happy crafting, my friends!!! #gluedtomycrafts
