Simple and easy only takes minutes to put together.

DIY Snow Paint - Outdoor Winter Activity For Families

Food Coloring Snow Paint Activity For Families

Just like most of the country – we were snowed in this weekend.

This isn’t a new thing for us here in Cheyenne… let along here in Wyoming, but it’s still depressing to say the least. Especially since it happens every other week and sometimes we just want to get out and have fun.

So to change things up and get us out of the house for a short period of time, I decided to do an easy craft with my two favorite boys.

Insert – HOMEMADE Snow Paint!

You basically make colored tap water, place it in some inexpensive squirt bottles and paint the snow. That’s it! No real rules or perfect end results! If your child can hold a bottle and squirt it on the ground, they can participate in this fun outdoor activity.

So to go with the theme of “keeping it simple” this year – this painting the snow activity only took three supplies and 5 minutes to put together. On that note, it won’t break the bank or take you hours to assemble. PLUS no clean up afterwards since nature will take course in a copy of days. Just go back indoors and wait for the sun!

If you would like to recreate this crafty idea, find all the details below for this DIY Snow Paint activity and recreate it for your family today!

Happy crafting, my friends! Please don’t forget to share a few pictures if you decide to give this snow colored paint activity a try in your backyard.
