  • Washable Craft Paint

Birthday Cake Handprint - Keepsake Canvas Idea

But wait – there’s more thing to see!

  • If you don’t have a printer at home, please don’t feel discouraged. Nope! You will not be left out my dear friends!
  • If you love this handprint craft idea and happen to have a blank canvas in your craft stash right now, you can still make a memorable birthday keepsake with your child and have a beautiful piece to treasure for years to come!
  • Take for example this “handprint birthday cake” canvas I made with my son back in 2015 {pictured above.} He just so happened to be turning four that year, so we did FOUR painted finger candles for the cake. You however can do all five fingers or three…etc. The choice is yours to run with! Hopefully my quick picture sparks something for you as well!
  • BTW – You can also use the “fingers” of the hands for a unique birthday card as well! You draw on the candles, right above each finger design. See the image below for an example of that!

Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible.
