Handprint Easter Keepsake Craft Supplies:
* Free Template Printable {Download HERE}
* White Cardstock
* Color Printer
* Paint {pick a theme, a favorite color – whatever your heart desires!}
* Paper Plate
* Paint Brush
* Wiggle Eyes
* Pom Poms
* Pipe Cleaners
* Tacky Glue
* Baby Wipes
Directions:
* First download and print the free Easter template printable {in color} on some plain white cardstock. You will need ONE printable per craft.
* Squirt some paint on a paper plate.
* Now this step is tricky and it’s best to do a practice round/coach your child through it so the handprint that looks like a bunny face.
* For ours, I only painted my son’s pinky and index finger, along with the palm of his hand for our bunny {because I found this was easiest for my 7 year old to do} There are multiple ways to do this craft/accomplish the handprint. Another way would be for child to pair up their pinky/ring finger and then their index/middle finger, leaving a gap between the middle and ring finger {I may not be explaining this right so just talk it through with your child first and do a trial run on scrap paper :-) In most cases, the thumb is never painted.
* Once you have the painted handprint down in the center of the printable, set aside to let it dry completely.
* Once dry, glue on a pom pom nose, pipe cleaner whiskers and of course – wiggle eyes for him to see.
* If desired, add other embellishments you see fit to your Easter Keepsake piece. Then display/gift proudly!
