You won’t need any elaborate tools to get this handprint bunny keepsake together!
Craft Supplies:
- Bunny Printable – on our landing page
- White Cardstock Paper
- Washable Craft Paint
- Small Paper Plate
- Large Foam Paint Brush
- Wiggle Eyes
- Pom Poms
- Pipe Cleaners
- Tacky Glue or Glue Dot
- Baby Wipes
Directions:
- First print the free Easter template printable {in color} on some plain white cardstock paper. You will need ONE printable per craft.
- Squirt some paint on a paper plate.
- Now this step is tricky and it’s best to do a practice round/coach your child through it so the handprint that looks like a bunny face.
- For ours, I only painted my son’s pinky and index finger, along with the palm of his hand for our bunny {because I found this was easiest for my 7 year old to do} There are multiple ways to do this craft/accomplish the handprint. Another way would be for child to pair up their pinky/ring finger and then their index/middle finger, leaving a gap between the middle and ring finger {I may not be explaining this right so just talk it through with your child first and do a trial run on scrap paper 🙂 In most cases, the thumb is never painted.
- Once you have the painted handprint down in the center of the printable, set aside to let it dry completely.
- When it’s completely dry, glue on a pom pom nose, pipe cleaner whiskers and of course – wiggle eyes for him to see.
- If desired, add other embellishments you see fit to your Easter Keepsake piece. Then display/gift proudly!
