Paper Handprint Giraffe - Kid Craft

Welcome to our blog post on the adorable and creative handprint giraffe craft idea for kids!

Are you looking for a fun and easy activity to do with your little ones? Look no further, as we have a unique and exciting project that will not only keep them entertained but also help develop their fine motor skills.

In this post, we will guide you through the step-by-step process of making an adorable handprint giraffe using materials easily found at home.

So gather your art supplies and get ready for a wild adventure with your child as they create their very own giraffe masterpiece. Let’s get started!

Paper Handprint Giraffe - Kid Craft

Keep those little ones entertained with this fun and easy yellow giraffe paper craft! It’s the perfect zoo-inspired activity for kids of all ages!

Craft Supplies:

  • Yellow Cardstock Paper
  • Black Cardstock Paper
  • Brown Cardstock Paper
  • Marker or Pencil
  • Scissors
  • School Glue
  • Large Wiggle Eyes

Directions:

  • First grab your yellow cardstock paper.
  • Trace your child’s hand and arm on the yellow cardstock paper.
  • Have them lift up their hand.
  • Now trim out the traced design and discard the leftover yellow cardstock paper.
  • Next grab your black cardstock paper.
  • Cut out TWO large black circles that will be placed on the “horns” of the giraffe.
  • Go ahead and glue them to the tips of TWO of the fingers in the cutout.
  • Now grab your brown cardstock paper.
  • Cut out several small circles from it {as many or as little as you like!}
  • Now glue those all over the handprint paper cutout.
  • Finish off the Handprint Paper Giraffe craft by drawing on a face and adding some wiggle eyes for it to see!
  • Then set in an undisturbed area for it to dry completely, before displaying proudly!!!

Handprint Giraffe Craft Idea For Kids

Get the kids engaged in some creative fun with this easy-to-make giraffe handprint craft!

Here’s your checklist of supplies to bring this craft to life:

  • Cardstock Paper yellow, black and brown
  • 2 Large Wiggle Eyes
  • Scissors
  • School Glue

Prepare your creative haven by laying down a protective cover before the crafting magic begins!

Directions:

  • First trace your child's hand and part of their arm on the yellow cardstock paper.

  • Now trim out the traced design and discard the excess cardstock paper.
  • Next grab your black cardstock paper.
  • Cut out TWO large black circles that will be placed on the "horns" of the giraffe.
