Everyone knows the iconic story “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” so I decided to pair this book with a SIMPLE DIY idea that can be easily framed and used to celebrate the upcoming birthday {and all those events most schools put on to mark this yearly occasion!}

This Handprint Air Balloon Keepsake Idea w/free printable template is super easy to make within minutes and it’s relatively inexpensive too! You can also add materials to reflect personality and style, while still keeping the price on the cheap! We are talking CENTS to pull this Dr Seuss-themed craft together today!

Where will your little one go in life? Turn their tiny handprint into a keepsake that celebrates their endless potential and reminds them of how far they can fly!

Craft Supplies:

  • Free Hot Air Balloon Printable
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Color Printer
  • Washable Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Large, Foam Paint Brush
  • Baby Wipes
  • optional materials – glitter and scrapbook stickers

Directions:

  • First download and print the free template printable on white cardstock paper.
  • Squirt some paint on a paper plate.
  • Paint one of your child’s hands and press it on the printable, on top or near the balloon.
  • While the paint is still wet, sprinkle some glitter on top.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Have children sign their name anywhere on the printable.
  • If desired, add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter and scrapbook stickers!}
  • Then display/gift away proudly!

Instructions
 

  • First print out our provided printable, in color, on a single sheet of white cardstock paper. You only need one print per craft.
