Everyone knows the iconic story “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” so I decided to pair this book with a SIMPLE DIY idea that can be easily framed and used to celebrate the upcoming birthday {and all those events most schools put on to mark this yearly occasion!}

This Handprint Air Balloon Keepsake Idea w/free printable template is super easy to make within minutes and it’s relatively inexpensive too! Where will your little one go in life? Turn their tiny handprint into a keepsake that celebrates their endless potential and reminds them of how far they can fly!

Craft Supplies:

  • Hot Air Balloon Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Washable Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Large, Foam Paint Brush
  • Baby Wipes
  • Embellishments

Directions:

  • First download and print the free template printable on white cardstock paper.
  • Squirt some paint on a paper plate.
  • Paint one of your child’s hands and press it on the printable, on top or near the balloon.
  • While the paint is still wet, sprinkle some glitter on top.
  • Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
  • Have children sign their name anywhere on the printable.
  • If desired, add other embellishments you see fit {like glitter and scrapbook stickers!}
