Easter Egg Hot Air Balloon - Kid Craft Idea For Spring

You won’t believe how EASY it is to pull together this Easter Egg Hot Air Balloon kid craft idea! It all starts with a simple egg shape and I’ve even included a sweet little bunny friend in the provided printable, who is going to be riding in style in his new ride.

When I first started brainstorming this idea, I figured this was a “new way” for the Easter bunny to deliver those treats on Easter Sunday. It’s clever for the season we are in, right?!

So what are you waiting for?! Make the most of your afternoon by checking out {and recreating} our spring themed tutorial that can be found below. Happy crafting, my friends!

Easter Egg Hot Air Balloon - Kid Craft

This Easter hot air balloon craft idea is a clever way to use up those craft foam egg shapes you see this time of year!

Craft Supplies:

  • Free Printable – on our landing page
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Scissors
  • Crayons or Markers
  • Foam Egg Shapes
  • Stapler or Glue Stick

Directions:

  • First print out the provided printable listed above, on white cardstock paper. You only need ONE print per craft.
  • Go ahead and trim out the bunny and basket pieces in the printable. Discard the remaining paper. If desired – color in the bunny with your choice of craft medium.
  • Set aside your pieces.
  • Next grab your craft foam egg shape {one per craft} Go ahead and decorate it however you like & really make it stand out! From crayons to markers, it’s whatever your crafty heart desires.
  • When done with the above step, you are ready to start assembling your hot air balloon.
  • Grab the stapler and/or glue, & all your pieces.
  • Go ahead and secure your bunny shape inside the basket, on the back side of the paper piece with either glue or a stapler.
  • Now secure the remaining pieces in place. The egg will go on the top of everything.
  • And that’s it! Add other embellishments you see fit. Then display your Easter egg hot air balloon w/bunny piece proudly for all to see!
