A canvas features a tape resist cross made with masking tape, beside a paper plate of colorful pom-poms attached to clothespins for paint dabbers. The blog name GluedToMyCraftsBlog.com appears in the corner.

A child uses a clothespin with a yellow pom-pom to dab paint on a paper taped with a tape resist cross, creating a colorful art project with blue, purple, and yellow paint.

Directions:

  1. First lay your painter’s tape down on the blank canvas, in a cross design. Two stripes of tape should be good!
  2. Next squirt some paint on your small paper plate.
  3. Pinch your pom poms in between the clothespins and dip them in the paint.
  4. Have children “paint” their canvas however they like, but making sure the tape cross is completely covered in paint.
  5. Once done, set aside to let it dry completely.
  6. To finish your Tape Resistant Cross, peel off the tape to reveal the beautiful cross below.
  7. Then add other embellishments or go straight to displaying it proudly!
