Craft Supplies:

  • Pre-made Cardstock Cards
  • White Cardstock Paper
  • Glue Stick
  • Purple Craft Paint
  • Small Paper Plate
  • Medium Sized Pom Pom
  • Wooden Clothespin
  • Black/Green Markers
  • Scissors/Paper Trimmer

Directions:

  • First trim down your white cardstock so it will fit on the front of your pre-made cardstock cards. One piece for each card.
  • Once trimmed down, go ahead and glue those to the front of each card. Repeat.
  • Now grab your purple craft paint and squirt a small amount of it on the paper plate.
  • Grab your pom pom and “pinch” it in between the clothespin opening. This is now your new paint brush!
  • Gently “dab” the pinched pom pom into the purple craft paint and then onto the cardstock.
  • Repeat that step to make SIX dots in a triangle shape. This is your new grape design.
  • Finish off the card by using the markers to draw on a stem/leaf coming from the stamped design.
  • To finish off the cards by either writing or adding your scrapbook stickers around the grape design to say “You are a GRAPE friend” or any other saying you like.
  • Then write a sweet message inside and mail away your stamped purple grape card proudly to the lucky receiver!!

Extra Craft Tip – instead of the particular purple paint dabber I used, children can use recycled wine corks dipped in purple paint or their thumbprints instead!

Craft Activity Safety Guidelines:

Always Ensure Adult Supervision - Young children should be supervised at all times when engaging in craft activities. This is essential to keep them safe and ensure materials are used correctly. Use Age-Appropriate Supplies - Choose craft supplies that are suitable for your child’s age. Check labels for recommendations and avoid items with small parts or sharp edges for younger children. Modify as Needed - Feel free to adapt materials or steps to meet your child's abilities and safety needs. For example, substitute scissors with safety scissors if necessary. Keep an Eye on Allergies - Be mindful of potential allergens in craft materials like glue, paint, or certain fabrics. Opt for non-toxic and hypoallergenic options whenever possible. Organize and Secure Supplies - Keep all craft tools and materials organized. Store sharp objects, small parts, and potentially hazardous items out of reach when not in use. Following these guidelines will ensure that crafts remain fun, creative, and, most importantly, safe for everyone involved!
